THY WILL BE DONE

These are little seedlings taking life for Jim's new garden plot. Just imagine the size compared to the popcicle sticks! (yes, I thought it looked like a pan of brownies, too!) But here's the lesson:

"It's important to do everything in our power to ensure our success, but we also need to let the universe take its course. Getting mad won't help. Dwelling on a situation only takes energy away from us, while yeilding few positive results. Clear the land, plow the field, plant the crop, and then let go. The rain may or may not fall, but one thing is certain; you will ge a harvest only if you planted something in the field."

Pam- Eat healthy foods and drink plenty of water.
Shon- 4 f&v's daily.
Lisa- 4 workouts.
Lori- 4 f&v's daily.

KEEPING YOUR SIDE CLEAN

Whenever I get to spend time with Shon, I'm always uplifted by her dedication to the AA program and the continuing daily practice of the 12 step program. It was a treat to have her in the car with me and during our visit with Pam and her family. And of course, Lisa!

I know I don't have the exact quote, but something that really struck a nerve with me was that we should "keep our side of the street clean". Basically, it refers to the fact that you have no power over anyone or anything other than yourself. We each have our "street" and it's up to us to keep it clean. I've counted on others to take care of mine, or even worse, left my street to go clean theirs! We must work daily on keeping our side clean.

Commitments for week of March 22-28:
Lori- 4 f&v's daily. 3 run/walks.
Lisa- Boot camp, Monday, 3 additional workouts. No eating past 8:15pm
Pam- All healthy eating this week, 2 walks and 2 stretches.
Rachel- No grazing..4 cardios and lots of water.
Shon- 4f & v's daily and stay "in the moment".

Of course, we all know, our beloved Pam is going through chemo now for her second bought with this horrible disease. Let's keep Pam in our thoughts each and every day and take care of our own bodies so that we can be as strong as she is should anything like this happen to us! We love you Pam!

WHITE...GRAY...BLACK???

What color are you today? Lisa and I always compare how well we're doing to being "black" or "white", always extreme, never gray. I'm either going for my runs, eating apples, getting the right amount or sleep.......OR.....just the opposite, eating out of control, no f & v's, no workouts, etc. I'm never gray. Never just doing what I need to do and living the rest of the day. Most days I wake up one extreme and go to bed the next! So let's just try to be gray. In the best way :)
Commitments for March 8-14:
Lori- 3 walk/runs and be gray!
Lisa- 4 workouts and bed by 10:15 pm.
Alethea- drink more water and cut down on sweets
Pam- no chocolate, eat f&v's and 3 workouts
Shon- no junk sweets
