Good News, Bad News

Well, as you can see, our comments came to a complete halt Monday. I think we are all in shock. Pam's surgery went well, however, they found a mass. Tests are being run to determine if it's ovarian cancer or a reoccurence of colon cancer, which would be worse. It's just unbelievable that this is happening to such a special lady - AGAIN!

Pam got to go home Wednesday and is resting and enjoying her family over Christmas. She will keep us posted on the next step.

Please keep Pam and her family in your thoughts and prayers. She continues to be her strong self.

Over Prepare Then Go With The Flow

I recently got one of those forwarded emails that listed beautiful one-liners for a positive life. I love this one- "Over prepare then go with the flow". As we rush to get our holiday shopping done, cards mailed, and goodies baked, we eventually need to sit back and enjoy the time with family and friends.

Pam, we will all be with you in spirit tomorrow during your surgery. I know you have prepared and now you can go with the flow. We love you!

I wanted to share my little tree with you! Regretfully, when I've moved over the years I got rid of my ornaments that meant something to me. So, I'm starting anew...these are just some balls I bought to decorate this year. It's so peaceful to come home and turn the lights on and enjoy my tree.

Welcome to our blog! Lori has taken the reigns for awhile. Lisa has done such an amazing job to keep us going every week and I'm looking forward to the challenge. The good news is, we keep it going...the bad news is, it's a new address so all of our former comments didn't make the move with us. As fast as time goes, though, we will have a new blog full of memories and life experiences. This week is going to be about "stepping out of the box". I know it's such a busy time for everyone with the holidays, so it's probably an easier opportunity to get us out of our box. We get so comfy in our routines and they can become non challenging just out of familiarity. Let's all do something positive that may make us a little nervous or uncomfortable, but in the end will be rewarding. Mine is easy...doing the blog! I will try to be creative and keep us going in a good direction along with our weekly commitments. So, get out of your box and be seen!
