Good News, Bad News

Well, as you can see, our comments came to a complete halt Monday. I think we are all in shock. Pam's surgery went well, however, they found a mass. Tests are being run to determine if it's ovarian cancer or a reoccurence of colon cancer, which would be worse. It's just unbelievable that this is happening to such a special lady - AGAIN!

Pam got to go home Wednesday and is resting and enjoying her family over Christmas. She will keep us posted on the next step.

Please keep Pam and her family in your thoughts and prayers. She continues to be her strong self.

Merry Christmas to everyone and make every single day count!

As a cancer survivor I offer this advice .. stay strong, stay angry at this curve ball you've been thrown. You can beat it...

THIS IS FROM PAM, HER COMPUTER WENT DOWN SO SHE'S ON HER PHONE..
I have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas. I have not left the house in two days. Keith has done all the cooking and my girls are taking good care of me. We had a white Christmas with 5 inches of snow yesterday. My mom and dad came to our house today for lunch and ate to our hearts desire. Thankyou for all the thoghts and prayers and hope all of us (Bev,Norma and I) experience healing together. Love you all so much. I will forward Lisa some pics of the snow. Merry Christmas!!! :)

Pam, it's good to hear from you. I know everyone is busy and not at their computers to post either. I had my little party last night and it was just perfect. It was so relaxing and intimate. I had a great Christmas that lasted for days as I saw different people, family and friends and celebrated the time together.
Way too much food, though, I've had a million oatmeal raisin cookies and I'm ready to get back on track. I did do a run in the neighborhood yesterday and made it up all the hills that I used to walk up. I just thought how badly Pam would love to do that, so it took me up! xxoo

Lori I did a run for my Mom and Pam this morn and I even did a extra mile, I am a 2 miler usually but did 3. All the food I ate had a little to do with it also. But we had a great Xmas eve at moms, we laughed and ate and I ate and ate. Then Xmas day had more food and people and ate and ate more.
Well Pam it is good to hear from you and to hear you had a wonderful Xmas. You guys are teaching me to enjoy the here and now, it is a valuable lesson.
I love you.
Have a good day.

Shon, you're so funny. Isn't it just insane how much we eat during the holidays? I still have all these assorted chips and crackers from my party. Also, chocolates, nuts, peanut brittle! I gave so much away and I'm doing more of that today. I just can't have it in the house. I went to do some after-Christmas shopping yesterday and it was fun. I got a few things for next year. It's a beautiful-but cold- day again. I will get some exercise in for sure!

Hey everybody! Finally back on line. I spent the whole day returning and shopping. I started working out last week. I had not worked out in like 4 weeks at least! I like my new gym across the street and I will be there in the am. I have not been doing great on f & v's but I loaded up at the store today on them.
Pam, you have the best attitude. We are all here for you. Please let us know your next step. "stay strong" like you always do and you WILL beat this - I feel it. Tomorrow is your birthday!!!!!!!
Norma has been getting better. We will be thinking of Beverly tomorrow while she has her chemo.
love you all!
