Welcome to our blog! Lori has taken the reigns for awhile. Lisa has done such an amazing job to keep us going every week and I'm looking forward to the challenge. The good news is, we keep it going...the bad news is, it's a new address so all of our former comments didn't make the move with us. As fast as time goes, though, we will have a new blog full of memories and life experiences. This week is going to be about "stepping out of the box". I know it's such a busy time for everyone with the holidays, so it's probably an easier opportunity to get us out of our box. We get so comfy in our routines and they can become non challenging just out of familiarity. Let's all do something positive that may make us a little nervous or uncomfortable, but in the end will be rewarding. Mine is easy...doing the blog! I will try to be creative and keep us going in a good direction along with our weekly commitments. So, get out of your box and be seen!

Welcome, everyone!
Pam, I hate that we are 'losing' your comments about what you're going through right now. Please keep us up to date, escpecially after your appointment tomorrow.

Lori - Oh my gosh you did such a great job! So fresh - I love it. Thank you for taking the reigns! Love the fish.
Pam, I have had you on my mind all weekend. Tomorrow is a day for learning, being open and positive and many prayers going your way. Like we said thank goodness you had the pet scan and found this early. You are such an inspiration the way you handle everything. I know in my heart everything will be ok. I love you.
Lori thank you so much for creating this blog - you did such a great job!!

Wow Lori, I am impressed!! Well, I went to the doctor today and scheduled a hysterectomy for next Tuesday. Keith went with me and really liked my doctor. She really feels this is a non-cancerous lesion, but said it just needs to come out. I feel the support and prayers are giving me peace. It was a hard weekend to take it all in, because I don't want to have surgery. She really thinks she can do it laporascopically (spelling?), which means recovery is 2 weeks! Isn't that great? Keith's mom comes Friday for Rachel's graduation and Gina is coming Sunday, so everyone will be here and I get to just relax and let everyone else cook, etc. Hee hee. Well, thanks Lori for doing this. and I do need to commit to healthy food this week, to prepare my body. I ran yesterday, and it felt really good. Well, better go get dinner. Love you all. SS

Yes Lori what a great job, I love the new site.
Pam that is good news about the surgery, to be done
laproscoptically( spelling ?)
And that she doesn't think it is cancer. My prayers have been and will be with you. You are one of the strongest women I know, you are my hero, along with my mom.
Lori I have been trying to step out of the box and do something I don't want to do and I am still thinking because there are things I know would help me grow but I am still too scared....
Love you guys.

Pam,
thank you for sharing your experience with us. At first it seems it could be a bad time for all this but Rachels graduation will be over and you can relax for Christmas with all the help. Remember last time they said your surgery went so well because you are so healthy!
Lori the blog is wonderful ...I like being a customer :)
Shon, I love how honest you are.
Happy Monday.

Pam, thanks for the update. I just know you will recover quickly, because you have your body in such great shape.
I went out of my box again today, bought a little artificial tree that was prelit and put it up in my LR. I decorated it tonight and just love having it there. It's been years since I've had a tree. And this is the first year I won't be working Christmas eve since I was 19. No, that's not a typo! I'm so free and relaxed.
Quick update on Norma, she's home and resting. Tracy is with her most of the time and making their meals and stuff, she has a nurse come in once a day to check on the healing. So sad that she's "down" for Christmas, but health is everything! So we have Beverly, Pam and Norma to keep in our thoughts and prayers. SS SS SS

The blog is hopping. :) Thank you for all the support it is such an added strength for me. It does help to remember how well my last surgery went. Shon, I also admire your honesty with stepping out of the box. Admitting fear is a big step toward facing it. Lori, I love it that you get to be home on Christmas Eve and I can just imagine you with your tree. I love the lights, they are all over our house inside and out. It is such a great spirit. Norma, if you read this or whoever talks to her soon, please tell her she is in my prayers. I did not even know about her illness. It sounds like Tracy is taking great care of her and I know that is a blessing to her. I hope Aunt Beverly is enjoying the rest from chemo. Lisa, are you feeling settled in your new home? Rachel, Rachel, Rachel, I could just jump to the moon and back with excitement that you are all done and of course soooo proud of you. Daryl, great to hear from you too. I love you all! SS

Rachel Way to go!!! I can't imagine how you are feeling right now! Congratulations :)
Lori maybe a pic of your tree?
Pam do you work all week? You have a sooner deadline than the rest of us for Christmas, huh? Yes I am starting to get a little settled in.
Have a great week everyone :)

Glad to hear from everyone. I feel the energy! Thanks for the great comments on the blog, and don't forget to feed the fish on the front page at the bottom.
Rachel, keep it up girl, just a few more days! I can't imagine your excitement.
I know we have so many health things going in our family right now, but it's just a good way to remember what's important, especially during this season when people get so crazy trying to do it all! Family, freinds, health and home....
Tracy was talking about his house not selling yet, and I just reminded him that it worked that way because he needs to be close to his mom right now - he's less than a mile away.
All of life's turns make sense, we just have to be patient to see what we're going through really means.
Okay putting my soapbox back under the bed :)))
Have a good day!
